Over three days, June 6-8, visitors will be treated to a program featuring fine wine and fabulous food. Cellar doors will host various events from wine and Unicorn cheese tastings, dinners, vineyard tours, winery talks, themed lunches, produce and market stalls, topping it off with live music in the vineyards. Just purchase of a festival glass for $10 at the first winery you visit and enjoy wine and cheese tastings at participating wineries from Gerringong in the North to Bawley Point in the South and West to Kangaroo Valley. Along with all of the small farm machinery, ride-on mowers and all sorts of farm animals to see, this year there will be a special feature of gardening products, plants, shrubs and trees. Agricultural experts will be on hand and various demonstrations will help those interested in learning more. As well as being of interest to the seasoned farmer, there is more interest each year from small hobby farmers and people improving their home gardens and starting the family vegetable patch. More families are taking the kids to show them what farming and local produce is all about. Children love the animal nursery plus the variety of farm animals and different breeds of chooks on display. The event is one of the Rotary Club of Berry’s major fundraisers with proceeds going to various community, youth development and international activities.
