Gates open from 8.30am at the Berry Showgrounds with activities from 9.30am to 4pm.. The festival will begin with a featuring pipe bands, vintage and historical cars, clans flying their flags and Scotty dogs. Starting at Prince Alfred St, and moving along Queen St, the parade will finish at the showgrounds, where the Spanish Consul General, Gerado Bugallo Herado, will officially declare the festival open. There will be a display of super strength by the Highland Warriors lifting great stones up to 165kgs, a display of 10 massed pipe bands, as well as Irish and Scottish singing and dancing. Irish bands will entertain and there will be singing by and the beautiful voice of will be he ard. Many clans and societies will attend and for the ladies, a haggis hurling contest will be held. Enjoy stalls selling food, coffee, Celtic wares, crafts, cakes and more.The Festival is supported by The Rotary Club of Berry-Gerringong, Berry Apex, Zonta, Lions Clubs ,ShowgroundTrust, Berry Chamber of Commerce and the Shoalhaven City Council.
