The crystal clear waters and rich variety of habitats in Booderee National Park and B a Ga d s offer visitors a wide range of things to explore. With over 200 species of birds, 30 species of land mammals and 180 species of fish - Booderee National Park is a fantastic place to meet Australian fauna. Along the sign-posted walking trails you see many varieties of birds, including honeyeaters sipping nectar from banksias, shy eastern bristlebirds foraging in the heath and perhaps a white-bellied sea eagle soaring above. Many insects and other small animals live in the foliage and leaf litter and sometimes quiet walkers see wallabies or grey kangaroos grazing beside the trails. Booderee National Park is located at the eastern end of Jer vis Bay Road.There is a small entry fee of $11 per car for a 48 hour pass - consessions available. Ruins of the Cape George Lighthouse ~ a great whale viewing spot. Jervis Bay There are great picnic grounds & beaches for healthy family outings at Booderee.
